Yes! There are many free features within the app. You can access your daily and monthly horoscopes, as well as daily transits, crystals, tarot cards, and moon cycles. You also have unlimited access to your birth chart details and access to a frequently updated library of timely articles.
Make sure you have the latest version of the app for the best service and performance. We fix small bugs with every update, and we’re always working on improving the app for the best experience possible. If you are on the latest update, please delete your app and re-download. Deleting an account is permanent.
When you delete your account, we delete all personal identifiable information (Name, Email, Birth date/time and location info) We do retain certain anonymized information, including analytics events, transcripts of readings, and data shared with third-party software platforms.
To update your name and account information, locate the Profile icon in the bottom right of your app. From there, tap the gear icon in the top right corner to access your User Settings. On that screen you will find the ability to edit your name, birth date, place, and time.
In order to reset your password, please log out of your account. Select ‘Already have an account?’ and tap the link “Forget Your Password?” This will allow you to reset your password via email.
By signing up with Sanctuary you opt-in to our email program. For certain system emails such as transaction records and receipts, you can not unsubscribe as they are necessary to the functionality of the service. For marketing emails, you can update your preferences via a link in the footer of any of our marketing emails. You can choose to opt-out of certain communications or unsubscribe all together. If you can still not find where to unsubscribe, please email help@sanctuaryworld.co.
To update your app notification preferences, please click the Profile icon in the bottom right of your app. From there, find the gear icon in the top right corner to access your user settings. Select “Notifications'' from the list. You can opt-in or out to receive notifications or update your preferences to only receive certain types of notifications to keep you up to date.
On the Sanctuary website, we offer your daily horoscope for free. For additional free offerings from Sanctuary, you can access an expanded array of services and content in the app.
Our recommended browsers are Chrome and Safari. If you are using your preferred browser, make sure it’s up to date. Please try another browser if the error persists. Our readings are flexible and totally guided by you. First, you can set a topic at the beginning of your reading from a list of common topics, like love or career. Once you’re in the reading, you can ask your reader for some insight on a specific situation in your life that you’re dealing with, and they can tell you how your chart, energy, or cards can reveal more guidance or help you navigate your path through it.
Please note that our readings are meant to provide tools for self-reflection. Our services are not meant to predict the future. Sanctuary’s readings are for entertainment purposes and do not purport to predict future events, nor are they intended as a replacement for therapy or mental health counseling. Additionally, please note that Sanctuary’s readings are not intended to be and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or legal advice.
If you choose to do a text-based reading, you won’t need to bring anything but an open mind and questions that you want to be answered. If you choose to do a voice-based reading, please make sure you have strong service or a strong WiFi connection. You will also need to give Sanctuary access to your microphone.
Whenever you decide to get your reading, you can click on the “Readings” tab in the app to choose a reader. Online readers will appear at the top and display an “online” status by having a green icon. Busy readers will have a purple icon. If you choose to buy a reading with a busy reader, you will be placed in a queue. You are not able to buy a reading with an offline reader at this time.
When you pay for a reading on Sanctuary, you are added to a queue for your chosen reader. If you're first in line, you will be connected immediately to the reader for your chat or call. For phone readings, you'll receive a call at the number you provided at checkout. Once connected, the reader is notified and will start the reading.
If a reader is unavailable, you will be notified in the chat or via a call, and a credit will be added to your account with the full purchase amount. The value of this credit can be used for another reading at checkout. You can view your credit history in the user profile.
If others are in line before you, you wait in the reader's waiting room, or queue. We provide an estimated wait time for your reading, but this may change if a person in front of you extends their reading. You’ll be notified via email and a push notification when it’s your turn. You will have 3 minutes to start the reading. You can join the reading by tapping the notification, the email button, or by clicking “start your reading” in the waiting room in the app. If you purchase a voice reading, you will be called when it becomes your turn.
When it's your turn, we'll send an email and a push notification. The waiting room also indicates it's your turn. You will have 3 minutes to start the reading. For call-based readings, you'll receive a telephone call at the number you provided during checkout.
If no one else is in line behind you, we will attempt to connect you with the reader again. You will receive a second 3-minute countdown and a push notification reminder with one minute left in the countdown.
If there are others in line behind you, you will be moved to the back of the queue. You'll receive a second 3-minute countdown to start your reading when it becomes your turn again.
If you miss the second connection attempt, your account will be credited with the full purchase amount. You'll receive an email with details of your credit. For a full record of your credits, you can view the credits history dashboard in the user profile.
For your best experience, please keep the Sanctuary open while you are in line for your reading so you do not accidentally miss the reading when it becomes your turn. If you decide to close Sanctuary while you are in line, please be sure to keep an eye on your push notifications and/or email so you do not miss your turn. You can manage notification settings in your device's settings. Turn the “Allow Notifications” toggle to ON, and set your notification delivery for Immediate Delivery. In addition, having alerts on your lock screen and banners will ensure no notification is missed.
Yes. You join a queue for your chosen reader, just like for an online reader. When the reader returns online, the queue begins. You’ll be notified via email and push notification when it's your turn. If you miss your reading, a second attempt to connect will be made, and if that too is missed, you’ll be credited for the full purchase amount.
Yes. You can be in line for up to 3 readers. If it's your turn while you're in another reading, you are moved to the back of the line and notified when it's your turn again. If you miss both sets of notifications, you will be credited with the full purchase amount.
Yes. In the list of Upcoming Readings in the waiting room, you can select Cancel Reading from the three-dot menu next to each reading. We will cancel your reading and credit your account with the full purchase amount, which can be used for another reading at checkout. For a full record of your credits, you can view the credits history dashboard in the user profile.
We apologize that you were unable to connect with your reader. If you've purchased a reading and haven’t been able to use it, your account balance will be credited with the value of your transaction. Those credits can be applied toward future readings with any of our available readers at the time of your choosing.
The cost of a reading varies by the price per minute set by the reader. Pricing may vary between each reader, and between the various types of readings a reader offers.
We want you to be happy with your reading experience, and are happy to address issues via our Customer Service team at help@sanctuaryworld.co. Once we have received this information, we will review your request and work with you to resolve the issue. Please note, we reserve the right to either first credit you for your session, or refund you in full or partially. In addition, we also reserve the right to refuse a refund.
Note: All refund requests must be submitted within 2 days of the end of the session. In your refund request you must include the session's date and fee, reader’s name, and the reason for your request.
We offer astrology, psychic, tarot, energy healing, mediumship, human design, and past life readings. Not sure where to start? Many readers list their typical availability on their profile. You should also feel free during your reading to ask your reader when they’ll be next online.
Save your preferred readers to your favorites list by tapping the heart in their profile will allow you to see if they are online quickly – they’ll be located in the “Favorites” carousel at the top of the Reading tab, and you’ll be able to see their online status through the colored dot next to their name.
As a welcome to Sanctuary, your first 5 minute reading can be purchased for $4.99. You do not have to purchase this special offer – you can purchase a reading of any length for your first reading. However, your first reading is the only opportunity for this offer. If you purchase a full price reading without redeeming this offer, you will not have the opportunity to access it again.
You can access this $4.99 offer through the banner on the Reader tab in the app anywhere it appears. You can also select any participating reader in the app and purchase directly on their profile, or on the web through purchasing touchpoints. When checking out, choose the 5 minute offer during checkout, and if the offer is available, the price will be $4.99.
While a majority of our readers participate, not all readers accept the welcome offer. If you purchase 5 minutes for $4.99 and you do not select a reader at the time of purchase, you can redeem the offer on any participating reader. The welcome offer is one time use only and can not be used again.
Yes! After the five minutes are up, you will be prompted with the option to extend your reading. In order to continue, you can select an additional 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 or 60 minute session.
We run a variety of promotions including but not limited to percentage discounts and ‘buy one get one’ offers. You can find out what sales are running by being subscribed to our email list and opting-in to our push notifications on the Sanctuary app.
Once you select a reader, reading type, length, and topic, you’ll move into the checkout screen. The checkout screen will have a section to type in the promo code below the order summary. You’ll have the opportunity to input your promo code if available, and the checkout balance will display the updated total price.
Because Sanctuary has recently improved our reading credit system, we want to ensure you know exactly how your reading purchases are stored, credited, and maintained! If you ever have questions, please reach out to help@sanctuaryworld.co.
If you’ve recently joined the app, or you have the most current version of the app, your account has the ability to store unused readings as a dollar value balance that you can apply to any reading. You may carry this balance if a reading could not be completed for technical or connection reasons—if you purchased a reading and aren’t able to utilize that purchase, we want to ensure you can try another reader or at another time.
For example, if you purchased a $40 reading that was unable to be redeemed, you will have $40 available to be applied toward future purchases. In this case, you can use your dollar value credit towards any type of reading, with any reader. If a reading costs less than your account balance, you can use the remaining credit on a future purchase. If a reading costs more than your available account balance, you can use the full value of your available credit, and pay for the remaining balance to complete your purchase.
Your credit history, including deductions and additions to your account balance, is available for review by visiting the Profile tab, tapping the gear icon in the top right hand corner, and selecting “Credits” from the list of options.
In previous versions of the app (7.10 and earlier) we utilized a “Reading Credit” system. If you’ve been a customer with us in prior app versions, you may have received these credits for the same reasons outlined above, which were equal in value to the reading you purchased. These credits are limited to being redeemed for readings of equal value of price/minute, timing, and type of reading (psychic, astrology, etc).
We recommend upgrading your app for the best experience for your readings, as we’ve optimized this process among many other features in the newest version of the app.
As a user, you cannot manually add or purchase Reading Credits for your account. Credits are only available when a purchase is made, but a reading is unable to be completed. This ensures you’re able to access your readings and purchases. Once a Credit is added to your account, it will expire in one year.
Once you pick a reader, you can select your reading type, length, and topic, and head to the checkout page. There, you will be able to see your account balance and apply the credit to the reading (only if you’d like to!). Click or tap “Apply credits” to ensure the balance is applied to your transaction. Once you apply your account balance, we will apply the balance toward the total cost of the transaction. Your total purchase in checkout will update, and reduce the cost of the reading. You’re also able to review your credit balance and purchase history.
You are able to see your credit balance as well as past purchases by going to your profile (located in the bottom navigation), clicking the gear icon in the top right corner to access your user settings. You will find two options for “Credits” and “Purchases.” Purchases will show a history of all of your transactions with Sanctuary. Credits will display your current account balance and the history of your credit balance.
You are currently only able to buy a Sanctuary+ subscription in our IOS app. It is not currently available via Android.
With your Sanctuary+ subscription, you unlock all the content in our Explore library, as well as receive a 5-minute reading with our experts, access to expanded horoscopes (including yesterday’s and tomorrow’s, an exclusive week horoscope, tarot, and crystal, and our entirely yearly forecast content), and unlimited access to our astrological Compatibility Calculator.
You will be charged the current price of the subscription, regardless of the price you paid at the time. Please see the Apple App Store for current subscription pricing. You may also access the most up to date pricing by going to your Profile in the bottom navigation bar, tapping the gear icon in the top right corner, and selecting “Manage Subscriptions” from the list of options.
If you do not make any changes to your subscription, Apple will auto-renew your subscription. In order to make changes to your subscription, open the settings app, tap your name at the top of the screen, tap subscriptions. Tap the Sanctuary icon and then "Cancel Subscription" to disable it from auto-renewing at the end of the current billing cycle. You may also access these settings via your phone settings, or by going to your Profile in the bottom navigation bar, tapping the gear icon in the top right corner, and selecting “Manage Subscriptions” from the list of options.
All subscription management is handled through your Apple settings. To change or upgrade your subscription plan, you will need to disable the auto-renew feature for your current subscription and let it expire. Once it expires, you will then be able to select a new plan and proceed with your updated subscription uninterrupted.
If you decide to cancel your subscription for any reason, you are able to re-purchase the subscription via the Sanctuary app by clicking any of the locked content in the app. Follow the prompts to select your preferred subscription plan for Sanctuary+, and once you purchase, you’ll regain all the benefits of your subscription.
If you’ve previously subscribed to Sanctuary+ or otherwise have an active subscription in the app, but find you cannot access the content and benefits for any reason, you may need to restore your subscription.
You can do so following the steps outlined in Apple’s Support documentation. Subscriptions are managed by Apple; if you continue to have issues with your subscription billing, pay, or access, please reach out to Apple Support.
Users with access to public reviews must be signed into their Sanctuary account to leave a review and must have completed a reading with a reader.
By sharing your love and honest feedback with a public review, you can help our readers grow their businesses and help customers like you discover great readers. Want to really help out your fellow customers and our readers? Add more details! The most helpful reviews mention specific elements like facts about your reading and why you liked or disliked it.
Public reviews can be left on Sanctuary via our website or app immediately after finishing a reading. You may also have the option to leave a review the next time you open your app.
To leave a review after a reading:
- Tap the star rating for the reading. To do a half star, tap or click and hold and swipe left and right with your finger or cursor.
- Indicate what went well in your reading or what didn’t go so well in the reading by tapping on the available buttons to set your sections.
- You will be presented with two fields for feedback: Public and Private feedback. Enter your feedback directly into the fields for Public and Private feedback.
- Tap the ‘Submit’ button when complete.
When leaving a review on a Reader’s page, you will have the option to submit privately or publicly.
- Private feedback is shared directly with the reader and with Sanctuary, and is not visible to other customers.
- Public reviews are also shared with readers and with Sanctuary, and will also be displayed on their reader profile for other customers to reference.
Readers are not currently able to respond to reviews. Should a reader like to reach out about a review, Sanctuary acts as an intermediary and your contact information will not be shared with the reader.
Both private feedback and public reviews will include details such as your first name, last initial, and details associated with your reading, such as the reading length, date, and reading type. You have the option to submit a review anonymously, which will hide your first and last initial on a public review. Private contact information such as your email address, phone number, or home address is not visible to Readers or to other customers.
Yes. To help ensure the authenticity of our reviews, both public and private reviews are displayed with the reviewer’s first name, last initial. However, our users have the option to mark their reviews as anonymous in order to hide their first name and last initial from public display.
Upon submitting, Sanctuary will review your submission for adherence to Sanctuary’s Review Guidelines. Sanctuary will not edit, alter, or change your review in any way. If approved, your review will be displayed on the reader profile. Sanctuary reserves the right to use public and private reviews for marketing purposes. Sanctuary may elect to edit your reviews for marketing purposes such as brevity, grammar, etc. without adjusting the original sentiment of the review.
If approved, your review will be posted approximately 3-5 business days after your review submission date.
If you submitted a public review and are not seeing it on the reader’s profile, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- The reader doesn’t have enough reviews. Reviews submitted for a reader may not be publicly visible yet if the reader has a low number of reviews. Once a reader reaches 10 reviews, reviews will be displayed.
- It hasn’t yet been moderated by Sanctuary. Sanctuary reserved the right to moderate all reviews in line with the guidelines outlined here, prior to being posted publicly, for the safety of all our community members.
- It wasn’t approved to be published. Reviews are subject to approval. Reviews must be 10 characters or more in length to be published. Reviews that do not abide by Sanctuary’s Review Guidelines will not be published. Examples of this may include comments on app connectivity, your preferences for another reader, or app issues. Non-relevant content may not ultimately be published or may be subject to removal. If your review is mainly related to issues with your *reading connectivity* experience (which a reader cannot control), it is considered non-relevant to the reader’s business and will not be posted. This is to ensure that readers do not receive negative reviews for any issues that may have been outside of their control. Please fill out this form if your review has not been published and you believe an error has been made.
Reviews are subject to approval. Reviews that do not abide by Sanctuary’s Review Guidelines, which disallow profanity as well as content that is threatening, harassing, racist, or sexist, will not be published. Please see Sanctuary’s Review Guidelines for more information. If your review does not meet the above criteria, it likely contained non-relevant content and therefore was not approved. Yes. Multiple reviews may be left for the same reader; however, only one review can be associated with each reading.
